The drawing is the most essential part of the painting process. If the drawing is not correct, the finished product will not be correct. The Bride sat for me for several sessions in the beginning.

The first layers of the painting are thin and the strokes are short. At this stage i am estabilshing the values and color families.

I had the Bride sit a couple of times at the end so as to make sure color was correct. The Bride and folks at the reception were extremely pleased with the likeness and the end result.
